Chat Features
Xpanity's Chat Widget / Chat Add-on Features
Besides the fact that you can chat publicly with people visiting the same page as you, you can also:
- Interact privately with other users
Click on the "Users"icon to expand the users list
Now you should see the users that are currently viewing the same page as you. Click on a user's icon, and a menu will show up:
- Private Chat
Click on "Private Chat Room" and a new pop-up window will be open:
You can than communicate privatly regardless of your location.
- Video Chat
Click on "Video Chat" and an invitation to an Audio / video chat will be sent. You have to approve a Vidoe chat invitation:
Than you have to allow access to your web cam
Now you can start a private video chat session
- Shared Browsing
Invite an individual to follow you around the Internet!! When you go
to a new site, their browser automatically follows you there and you can
continue chatting at/about that site!
Click on "Folow Me". Than an invitation link will be displayed in the chat room:
If you want to follow someone, you have to click on the link. Than an indicator icon will appear:
The above icon indicates that you are currently followed by another individual. Bellow you can see the indicator that shows that you are following someone.
Xpanity Message Board - Installed Version Only!
For each web page on the Internet, Xpanity provides a Mesage board for permanent comments that can be viewed by all Xpanity users.
Finally you are given a voice on the Internet and are able to comment on everything you see. Whether it is a comment, suggestion, useful information, tip, opinion or "just for fun", leave your mark on the Internet using the Xpanity Shared Board.
In the near future you will provide a new feature that will allow you to track all of your comments (sorted by date or web site). You can than use this comonent also as your personal internet Notepad.
- View all messages for each page.
When you click on the "Board" tab, you should see the messages previously left on the web page you are currently viewing.
- Post a new permanent message.
Click the "New Message" button and the following screen will appear:
Click "Publish" to post your comment.
- Rank each message on the Message Board using the Up/Down arrows.
